Dwight Howard: 'We are going to win this series'

Joe Namath became a New York sports legend by guaranteeing a Jets' Super Bowl III victory.
Mark Messier was lionized after he promised a Game 6 win for the Rangers in the '94 Eastern Conference Finals before scoring a natural third-period hat trick on Devils' goaltender Martin Brodeur.
Dwight Howard(notes) could join their ranks if he makes good on a bold prediction he made the day before his Magic look to survive against the Celtics in Orlando.
"We can't give up hope," Howard said Wednesday. "We're in this series to win it. We are going to win this series."
As you know, the defending champs took Game 4 on a jumper by 'Big Baby' Davis as time expired, rallied in Game 5 despite trailing by 14 points late and have the Magic scrambling to figure out how to get the damn basketball in Howard's hands. And oh, yeah, did I mention Boston is 32-0 when it takes a 3-2 lead in a best-of-seven series?
Are the chips stacked against Dwight? Absolutely. But crazier things have happened, right?
